ORBIS Pull for Sight 2011

In the summer of 2011, ORBIS Canada brought its annual national fundraising campaign, ORBIS Pull for Sight, to Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal. In each city, teams of up to 25 people came together to pull a 60-tonne plane in support of the ORBIS Kids Sight Program, which provides eye care treatment to blind and visually impaired children throughout the developing world.
Focus helped coordinate the event logistics and media relations for the Vancouver event, and took an active role in generating multilingual media coverage for the Toronto and Montreal events. In addition to supporting the cause through donations, we also formed Team Focus at the Toronto plane pull and won the award of Most Enthusiastic Team!
