Job Description:

As an Account Manager, you are:

  • A marcom or PR pro with the ability to develop and implement a wide range of ideas and solutions
  • Passionate about achieving measurable results and problem solving for clients and agency, and managing detailed programs
  • Versatile individual with a proven track record of at least 3 years of marketing successes, preferably in an agency environment.
  • Able to work with client team and manage brand development, advertising, direct marketing, public relations, social media and digital marketing

Reporting:

  • Work with agency team to develop and implement integrated marketing solutions for clients and the company, and to accomplish collective goals and provide exceptional client service
  • You will report to senior management

Responsibilities:

  • Develop effective strategy and planning from developing and presenting new business proposals to writing marketing communications plans
  • Provide strategic counsel to clients
  • Responsible for hands-on execution of multicultural marketing strategies, and implementing plans, including developing timelines and budgets, providing account direction and day-to-day client communication and reporting, and interacting with other team members to execute strategies
  • Direct activity on assigned accounts, keeping clients informed of account direction, timeline, results and budget, and maintaining forward momentum on projects
  • Research and write media pitch, print and online marketing materials, articles, social posts
  • Provide effective management of agency resources to ensure projects are delivered to appropriate standards timely, cost-effectively, and in a professional manner
  • Work closely with media team to develop media lists and opportunity calendars and community partners
  • Execute media relations, social media, community relations and client events
  • Keep apprised of clients’ brands/products/services/marketing developments – their key issues, competitive situation and industry trends
  • Coordinate and track project timing and budgets with all relevant agency personnel and third party partners/suppliers to help ensure profitability and assist in preparation of client invoices
  • Manage quality, accuracy and approval of creative/production materials, copy, layouts and production art to ensure they are in line with client and agency expectations
  • Provide client reporting and results analysis of key programs and initiatives
  • Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities within existing accounts and support other new business efforts
  • Display marketing curiosity and a willingness to push thinking in new directions
  • Lead by example and help groom leaders at agency

 

Skill Requirements:

  • Excellent writing, client service and media relations skills in English; Chinese language fluency an asset
  • Three to five years of experience in marketing communications/PR, preferably in an agency setting
  • Degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or Marketing
  • Good knowledge on digital and social media marketing
  • Broad knowledge of the marketing communications field
  • Recognize quality in marketing communications and have a strong drive to achieve nothing less
  • Ability to multitask and maintain order in the face of chaos
  • A “can-do” temperament. Commitment to meeting deadlines and doing whatever it takes
  • A self-starter who is energetic, enthusiastic, persistent, creative and motivated to work in a fast-paced, team environment

Job Descriptions:
Experienced and proven Digital & Social Media Specialist who can drive the organization and its clients’ digital and social marketing initiatives.  A new breed of digital professional that has integrated understanding of digital marketing, social media strategy & management, analytics, user experience and technology to be able to gather insights, effectively reach out to target audiences, interact with targeted virtual communities and networks as well as take control of the digital future by staying abreast of developments and taking creative and innovative approach to online marketing.

The Digital & Social Media Specialist will be expected to fulfill the following duties:

Search Engine Optimization & Marketing:

  • Expertise of both organic and paid search (SEO/SEM).
  • Manage day-to-day search marketing activities including keyword research, on page optimization, link building, content management, site promotion, AdWords campaigns etc.
  • Have clear understanding of website optimization strategies as well as how to set up and conduct A/B testing and improve conversion.

Digital & Social Media Strategy & Management:

  • Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking and audience identification.
  • Generate, edit, publish and share content (text, images, video or HTML) for social media platforms and websites.
  • Handle day-to-day implementation of social and digital tactics.
  • Assist with the implementation and management of online advertisement campaigns.
  • Collaborate with other functions to manage reputation, identify key players and coordinate actions.
  • Actively utilize social media listening tools to monitor online conversations, trends, levels of engagement, reach and traction for multiple clients
  • Ensure that brands are represented authentically online.

Client Consulting & Coordination:

  • This position also involves working on client digital marketing projects. Must be able to consult with clients on digital/social strategy and execution and make rational recommendations to deliver on all objectives.
  • Candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to set and manage expectations, be responsive with client communication and project reporting while managing multiple projects and providing exceptional client experience.
  • Be self-driven to learn trends and developments across the industry, particularly within clients’ sectors, as well as understand how to leverage available online opportunities for the organization and clients.
  • Coordinate all aspects of complex projects including live events and productions, video shoots, online advertisements.
  • Work independently and as part of a team.

Analytics:

  • Deep understanding of google and social media analytics.
  • Able to generate management reports with trends, analysis and recommendations.
  • Continuously adapt and improve by capturing and analyzing appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices.

Digital & Industry Aptitude:

  • Candidate must strive to stay abreast of all current digital and social trends and share learning across the organization.
  • Assist with graphic design and video editing work.
  • Oversee the production of content (including video, graphic and interactive).

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • 1 – 3 years of experience in a digital marketing, or social media position in a professional setting with demonstrated experience in strategy and campaign management.
  • Ability to strategize and implement social media in the context of a broader communications plan.
  • Diploma, degree or equivalent, preferably in Communications, Marketing or Digital Marketing.
  • Knowledge, experience, and understanding of core functions and responsibilities detailed above.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, graphic design and video editing will be a plus
  • Exceptional English writing skills with the ability to hone and utilize different voices.
  • Strong organizational, reporting, communications and interpersonal skills are a must
