Job Description:

  • Lead on a range of results-driven and innovative digital marketing and public relations projects and will help drive the direction of many marketing campaigns for premium brands.
  • Serve as a primary client contact, handles the execution of the tactical and strategic elements of multi-medium public relations campaigns.
  • Report directly to the Vice President and/or the President, the Account Executive will also work closely with other team members to facilitate integrated communications campaigns.
  • Have a strong grasp of the tactical execution of a public relations campaign and continue to develop and refine strategic skills by working closely with clients.
  • Develop and implement a successful PR campaign, and compile precise and timely reports with the client team.
  • Think and act strategically and proactively, and demonstrate leadership skills through work with support staff.

Job Specifications/Qualifications:

  • Ability to be creative and engage in written communication, especially with leading social media platforms (experience with WeChat and Facebook a must).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (I.e. Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical skills and able to conduct and present research data and insights in compelling presentations; and analyze and report to senior management
  • Knowledge of social media marketing analytics and SEO preferred
  • Ability to work well with cross-functional teams and third-party vendors.
  • Able to write creatively for different client brands, including B2B and B2C.
  • You take pride in doing great work and you care about the details.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced environment.
  • Highly organized, accurate and detail oriented.
  • Must be able to multi-task and prioritize workload.
  • Excellent communications and writing skills; fully bilingual in English and Chinese (Mandarin preferred); or English and Hindi/Punjabi.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Marketing or Public Relations.
  • 3 to 5 years of public relations agency or client experience.
  • Experience in the CPG or financial industry preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Has a strong ability to develop story ideas and write content as well as performing public relations activities (e.g. press releases, media events, story pitching, earned and paid coverage, etc.) and social media engagement activities (including crafting, uploading, and tracking posts across various social media platforms, e.g. Facebook, WeChat, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, YouTube, Weibo) in support of our company and clients’ marketing initiatives.
  • Organize and maintain editorial calendars, with posts drafted and scheduled for future publication.
  • Monitor and track performance of posts, prepare reports, perform analysis (including preparing and documenting actionable insights) and share data as directed.
  • Engage and communicate with our traditional and social media audiences.
  • Implement initiatives to build network.
  • Proactively bring new ideas to the table.
  • Maintain consistent brand voice and engaging content relevant to each medium and platform.
  • Stay on top of current trends, recommending appropriate opportunities for the brand.
  • Writing blog posts, marketing/ad copy and other content.
  • Develop creative ideas and creative writing (ads, scripts, stories, etc.)

Job Descriptions:
Experienced and proven Digital & Social Media Specialist who can drive the organization and its clients’ digital and social marketing initiatives.  A new breed of digital professional that has integrated understanding of digital marketing, social media strategy & management, analytics, user experience and technology to be able to gather insights, effectively reach out to target audiences, interact with targeted virtual communities and networks as well as take control of the digital future by staying abreast of developments and taking creative and innovative approach to online marketing.

The Digital & Social Media Specialist will be expected to fulfill the following duties:

Search Engine Optimization & Marketing:

  • Expertise of both organic and paid search (SEO/SEM).
  • Manage day-to-day search marketing activities including keyword research, on page optimization, link building, content management, site promotion, AdWords campaigns etc.
  • Have clear understanding of website optimization strategies as well as how to set up and conduct A/B testing and improve conversion.

Digital & Social Media Strategy & Management:

  • Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking and audience identification.
  • Generate, edit, publish and share content (text, images, video or HTML) for social media platforms and websites.
  • Handle day-to-day implementation of social and digital tactics.
  • Assist with the implementation and management of online advertisement campaigns.
  • Collaborate with other functions to manage reputation, identify key players and coordinate actions.
  • Actively utilize social media listening tools to monitor online conversations, trends, levels of engagement, reach and traction for multiple clients
  • Ensure that brands are represented authentically online.

Client Consulting & Coordination:

  • This position also involves working on client digital marketing projects. Must be able to consult with clients on digital/social strategy and execution and make rational recommendations to deliver on all objectives.
  • Candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to set and manage expectations, be responsive with client communication and project reporting while managing multiple projects and providing exceptional client experience.
  • Be self-driven to learn trends and developments across the industry, particularly within clients’ sectors, as well as understand how to leverage available online opportunities for the organization and clients.
  • Coordinate all aspects of complex projects including live events and productions, video shoots, online advertisements.
  • Work independently and as part of a team.

Analytics:

  • Deep understanding of google and social media analytics.
  • Able to generate management reports with trends, analysis and recommendations.
  • Continuously adapt and improve by capturing and analyzing appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices.

Digital & Industry Aptitude:

  • Candidate must strive to stay abreast of all current digital and social trends and share learning across the organization.
  • Assist with graphic design and video editing work.
  • Oversee the production of content (including video, graphic and interactive).

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • 1 – 3 years of experience in a digital marketing, or social media position in a professional setting with demonstrated experience in strategy and campaign management.
  • Ability to strategize and implement social media in the context of a broader communications plan.
  • Diploma, degree or equivalent, preferably in Communications, Marketing or Digital Marketing.
  • Knowledge, experience, and understanding of core functions and responsibilities detailed above.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, graphic design and video editing will be a plus
  • Exceptional English writing skills with the ability to hone and utilize different voices.
  • Strong organizational, reporting, communications and interpersonal skills are a must
